Kamuli Mission Hospital offers a medical elective programme for medical students from all over the world. Students have the chance to get involved in the day-to-day management of patients on the wards as well as opportunity to spend time in theatre and on the delivery unit. There are also opportunities to visit rural communities by helping with vaccination outreach programmes. During student visits there may be chances for involvement in research projects and audits, which are invaluable for the ongoing development of the hospital. The medical superintendent of the hospital will supervise students during their visit as well as any visiting qualified clinicians.
Students can attend for periods from 2-6 weeks and the hospital can usually organise for internal transfer and on site accommodation. Students will be expected to cover the cost of accommodation, transport and food. To register your interest, please complete the online form.
